iomart Hosting and Apica Announce Managed Hosting Partnership

| August 18, 2009 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – iomart Hosting and Swedish IT company Apica have announced a new partnership under which iomart will provide 24-hour managed hosting services to the web performance company and iomart Hosting will offer Apica’s services to its client base. iomart Hosting will host Apica’s entire suite of web performance solutions, which are provided as Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. Apica’s products monitor and analyse every aspect of website speed and capacity, ensuring that any web performance problems can be quickly addressed. The company’s service also identifies where web performance can be improved to allow clients to get the most from their web presence. Sarah Haran, Managing Director of iomart Hosting, said the deal demonstrated that location was no barrier to the growth of the company. She said: “Apica has a terrific range of products which have to be on very secure servers and we were able to put together a managed hosting package which met their requirements. “The fact that we own our entire infrastructure and can guarantee its integrity is a significant plus for us, particularly if we’re speaking to businesses outwith the UK.” The partnership benefits both businesses – while Apica has a platform from which to grow its own business, so iomart can offer its other clients the website performance solutions provided by Apica. Apica’s products include: • LoadTest: allows clients to find out the volume of traffic their website can handle and eliminate bottlenecks. • WebPerformance: gives a ‘customer-eye view’ of the web performance and response times of the website. • ServiceMonitor: lets Apica’s clients analyse the efficiency of their server use. • Accelerator: a front end cache which boosts the speed of the client’s website by up to 300 per cent. Clients include Apoteket (Sweden’s National Pharmacy) and the Swedish Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). Apica’s CEO Sven Hammar said the partnership was a key part of the company’s strategy to enter the UK marketplace. He added: “We have been evaluating partners for our launch into the UK. Since this market is very important for us, it was a difficult decision, but now we feel we have the right partner for our future expansion. “As our business grows we need to improve the capacity of our own service, and we felt the ethos and attitudes to service delivery of iomart hosting very closely matched our own, so we’re looking forward to the development of this partnership.” |
