UK Managed Hosting Provider iomart to Provide Services to Censorit

May 6, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – UK managed hosting provider iomart is to provide a number of managed hosting services to Internet content filtering services provider, Censorit, it was revealed recently. The agreement requires iomart to provide “end-to-end managed (dedicated) hosting”. The company has previously worked with Censorit and was chosen again based on its ability to deliver “seamless integration of services”.

"Who do we choose to host the web-enabled service?” asked Censorit Founder Mr. Dan Makin. “This was a serious question for us in the beginning, but iomart's data centers are well-equipped and there are so many layers of contingency built into their systems that it is unlikely they would be any glitch."

Censorit’s services are geared towards children who use wi-fi enabled games consoles like Nintendo DS, Nintendo and Wii Sony PSP. They aim to ensure children have a “safe and secure” Internet experience by filtering out websites that have been “blacklisted globally” and others that are likely to be inappropriate for children. Censorit believes such services require dedicated hosting to ensure continual access to the software.

"We are delighted to have been chosen by Censorit as their hosting partner for this innovative child safety software,” explained iomart’s Managing Director, Sarah Haran. “We have over 10 years experience in delivering large scale always on type services so we understand just how critical zero downtime is to a product such as Censorit's, and are pleased that we have been given the opportunity to demonstrate this."
