IT infrastructure services provider TierPoint LLC (
TierPoint) will host BraveIT - an industry event that brings together technology leaders and peers to consider the challenges they share. TierPoint has headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, United States and was recently in the news for a $20 million expansion of its data center facility in Nashville, Texas, United States. The company has 40 data centers globally and its services extend to data center services, managed services (including private and hybrid cloud solutions), disaster recovery, and business continuity services. BraveIT will be held on September 13, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
BraveIT offers participants a “unique platform” that will allow them to adopt industry best practices and address a range of industry issues. The 2018 BraveIT is the inaugural event and offers a wealth of workshops, panels, interviews, and peer-to-peer sessions on a range of topics. These areas include artificial intelligence, disaster recovery, and cryptocurrencies among many more. BraveIT’s keynote presentation will be delivered by Dr. Daniela Rus. Ms. Rus is noted as being an expert in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.
Ms. Rus is Director of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT. She has been involved in a large number of research projects that have covered areas as diverse as transportation, security, environmental issues, and agriculture. With her team she is responsible for the development of “modular and self-reconfiguring robots, systems of self-organizing robots, networks of robots and sensors for first-responders, mobile sensor networks, techniques for cooperative underwater robotics, and new technology for desktop robotics”.
