IT Services Company Techwave Consulting Acquires Cloud Storage and Services Provider iMicron
IT services company Techwave Consulting Inc. (Techwave Consulting) has acquired cloud storage and services provider iMicron. Techwave Consulting, which has headquarters in Exton, Pennsylvania, United States, was established in 2004. The company is an “end-to-end service provider helping business and industries optimize their performance” with a “wide array of services”. These services include managed services, ‘Big Data’ options and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). Financial aspects of its acquisition of iMicron have not been released.

iMicron, which has headquarters in Los Angeles, California, United States, offers “the widest range of services for IT businesses” including hybrid, private and public cloud services alongside IaaS and SaaS options. The company also provides a “Cloud Marketplace” - an “ecosystem of buyers, sellers and solutions” that allows organizations to easily access cloud technologies by removing procurement, management and support complexities. Techwave will be able to extend its services through iMicron.

Damodar Rao Gummadapu, Techwave’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), suggests that with iMicron’s cloud services broker capabilities the company will be able to tale a share of what will be a $100-million market by mid of 2018. The acquisition also adds more than 20 cloud service providers “with 80 data centers spread over 17 countries” to Techwave’s partner network.
