Jason Pellegrino is to join domain marketplace provider Domain Holdings Australia (Domain Holdings). A Fairfax Media (Fairfax) company, it has offices in Sydney, Australia. Fairfax Australia is a leading digital publisher reaching more than 11 million people through websites and apps, including brands like Stuff.co.nz. Domain Holdings is involved in a number of areas, specifically premium domain brokerage and monetization, and manages brands like domain.com.au. Mr. Pellegrino joins the company as CEO August 27, 2018.
Mr. Pellegrino replaces Chairman Nick Falloon who took the CEO role temporarily after the resignation of Anthony Catalano in January. He joins the company from Google Australia and New Zealand (Google) where he held the Managing Director position. At Domain Holdings he is likely to have to compete against his former employer. Mr. Pellerino started at Google in 2008 when he joined as the head of company’s strategy and sales operations division. He held a number of positions before becoming the regional CEO. Before Google he held executive roles at a number of companies including PepsiCo International and KPMG.
"I have spent close to a decade with Google and consider myself enormously lucky to have worked with fantastic colleagues, partners and customers, dealing with the rapid shift in technology, from desktop, to smartphone and now the AI powered world ahead," suggested Mr. Pellegrino as reported by online version of The Australian newspaper. "Throughout this time, I have always prided myself on supporting the growth of incredibly strong teams and establishing transparent and trusting relationships with partners and customers, something I am looking forward to continuing as I join Domain.”
