Kate Craig-Wood MD of Web Host Memset Named Social Media Champion at the Computer Weekly Social Media Awards

December 9, 2011 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Kate Craig-Wood, MD of Memset and technology entrepreneur has scooped the prestigious Computer Weekly’s Social Media Champion Award 2011, sponsored by IBM, getting the most votes of any individual across all categories.

Kate's Comment has become a successful and widely read IT blog, supported by Kate's innovative work in the hosting industry through Memset Ltd. Kate co-founded Memset which was the UK's first Carbon Neutral ISP and she is a nationally renowned advocate of green IT, energy efficient data centre technologies and cloud/utility computing.

On collecting the award at the ceremony, Kate Craig-Wood, said: “I am thrilled to have won this award, it’s wonderful to know that so many people have voted for me. The Computer Weekly Social Media Awards were presented by Editor in Chief, Mr Bryan Glick. This is the fourth year that Computer Weekly have run these awards searching for the best use of social media in IT.

Her Kate's Comment blog analyses the latest developments in the world of IT, she is an active social media user and has helped to raise the profile of her company very effectively using social media.”
