Key Systems Offers Tech Expertise Via Digital Archery Procedure
June 12, 2012 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Key Systems will be offering its technical expertise via the Digital Archery procedure to applicants for ICANN’s batching.

According to Key-Systems they will be offering this service to Generic Top Level Domain (Gtld) applicants through the procedure. In order to be considered, a high ranking in ICANN’s Digital Archery is required in order to be evaluated as part of the new gTLD program.

Due to over 2,000 applicants up until May, Key-Systems was forced to review the applications in batches with the first consisting of 500, being the largest, and the following containing 400.

These gTLD’s will reportedly have a realistic chance to start registrations in 2013, with prices for non-customers starting at 15,000 Euro’s for the first batch.

Digital Archery is essentially where each applicant selects uses an online system to choose a date and time. They then log in and hit the submit button as accurately as possible. Subsequently the closer the click is to the preselected time, the sooner the application can be reviewed.

Alexander Siffrin, CEO Key-Systems, spoke of his company’s attempts at hitting the specified times. “Our team was able to hit the specified time exactly in the testing
system - matching even the millisecond.”

The batching process according to ICANN will take place from June 8 to June 28. With an early launch of the TLD ensuring minimal operational costs, Key-Systems will be offering support to their customers regarding the Digital Archery.

Following successful applications 31 gTLDs will be able to deploy the technology of KSregistry in the future, a solution adapted to customers’ needs, which offers features necessary for the operation of a registry.
