ControlScan to offer Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance scanning for ecommerce customers.
In order to directly accept credit cards online, merchants are required to meet Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), a set of security requirements intended to protect both cardholders and merchants by establishing specific processes and precautions for handling, processing, storing and transmitting credit card data. Non-compliant merchants are subject to penalties and fines in the event of a data compromise.
With today’s partnership, ControlScan will provide KickAssVPS customers with access to PCI compliance scanning and vulnerability reporting.
