Web Hosting Provider KnownHost Upgrades Data Center
June 21, 2006 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Web hosting provider KnownHost (http://www.knownhost.com) have announced that they have moved all their equipment and customer base to Colo4Dallas (http://www.colo4dallas.com). All current customers were successfully migrated and new servers are ready for utilization. According to the company the move “will provide a better network, better performance, and better disaster recovery possibilities” for its customers.
“We feel this move is necessary in order to continually improve our service and support for our customers,” suggested KnownHost’s Marketing Director, Ms Elizabeth Winters. “This upgrade is the first of many that you will see from us in the near future.”
KnownHost’s hardware specifications include Dual AMD Opteron’s with 8 GB RAM in RAID-10 disk array. The company’s new network consists of both Internap and Level 3 respected Tier 1 providers. The company will run several weekly offers on all hosting packages to promote this transition.
