Laurel Burton has been named Vice President of Marketing at IaaS cloud computing provider PeakColo - a company that recently raised $7.5 million in growth equity capital to fund expansion over the next year. In her new position Ms. Burton will be responsible for PeakColo’s lead generation activity, branding, online activity, and public relations.
Ms. Burton brings a wealth of experience to her new position. Immediately prior to her arrival at PeakColo she served as Vice President of Marketing for colocation and managed services provider ViaWest. She had a huge impact at ViaWest - revamping the company’s brand with an award-winning logo and communications, as well as redesigning and re-launching the company’s website. Before joining ViaWest she worked with CenturyLink (formerly Qwest Communications) in marketing and product management roles. She has an M.S. in Telecommunications Engineering and an MBA from the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA.
