Free Forum Hosting Service Launched - Lefora.com
| March 24, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Lefora.com (http://www.lefora.com/) launched recently, providing a new free forum hosting service. According to the company, its service “focuses on making it simple for groups and communities to come together in a forum”. The San Francisco-based service offers full hosting and the tools required to create an effective forum website. Forums are fully customizable and allow an unlimited number of posts or members, and a forum can be created entirely online without the need to download or install software. A range of themes are available to modify the design of a site. Lefora provides RSS feeds of all forum posts and it is also possible to pull news articles, blog posts, and photos off the Internet directly onto a Lefora.com site. Lefora provides a range of tools that enable a forum website to maintain its community. These include automatic newsletters and notifications. In addition, Lefora provides “cross forum advertising to drive people to newly created forums”. The system also allows photos and videos to be embedded in forums, and provides threaded comments to make it easier to follow discussions. It also offers a range of functions such as “hot topics” notifications, search facilities, and WYSIWYG text editors. |
