iThemes has announced the launch of iThemes Hosting. Liquid Web has headquarters in Lansing, Michigan, United States. The company offers Linux and Windows web hosting, managed dedicated servers, cloud storage and VPS Cloud Servers to a 30,000-strong customer base. iThemes, which has headquarters in Edmond, Oklahoma, United States, has been in business since 2008. The company is recognized as a provider of high-quality premium plugins for ‘WordPress’ – the Internet’s leading Content Management System (CMS) which underpins more than 25% of the websites on the Internet. iThemes Hosting represents a “complete WordPress hosting solution”.
iThemes will offer three iThemes Hosting plans: ‘Starter’, ‘Professional’ and ‘Business’. For a “limited time” only, the Business plan, which is normally priced at $25 per month, will be available at only $15 per month. The Business package includes three key features: BackupBuddy – a tool that facilitates WordPress site backups and migration; iThemes Security Pro – a WordPress security plugin that protects and defends websites; and iThemes Sync – a solution that allows users to update up to 10 WordPress websites from a single interface. The fee includes “one free migration with BackupBuddy, iThemes Sync Pro, and a free and automatic SSL certificate”.
"For the last 10 years, as we've built WordPress themes, plugins and services, one thing has always been missing— hosting,” explained iThemes’ General Manager, Cory Miller. “We've sought to build relationships with all of the popular and good (while they are still good) WordPress hosts out there but, frankly, it's been a giant struggle and frustration for us (and likely our customers, too). In January, iThemes was acquired by Liquid Web, one of the premier managed hosting companies, and with it, the opportunity to create a complete WordPress hosting service with all of the products and support iThemes customers have come to love and trust."
