Macquarie Telecom today announced that it has appointed James Mystakidis as General Manager of Hosting Operations, a newly created role for the business.
As the latest member of the Hosting Leadership Team at Macquarie Telecom, Mystakidis is responsible for the strategic and tactical management of Hosting operations. The role has been created to ensure the company is operationally equipped to continue to deliver premium hosting and customer service levels as the business grows.
Mystakidis’ appointment follows the recently reported success of the Data and Hosting business which grew revenue by 18% to $95.5 million in the last financial year (ended 30 June 2009).
A core responsibility for Mystakidis is the ongoing development of an operations framework that supports the overall business objective to maintain the number one market position in corporate and government managed hosting. The framework will define a scalable operations plan that can uphold Macquarie Hosting’s award-winning customer service levels.
Mystakidis brings 10 years’ senior management experience in technology delivery. This includes roles as General Manager of Control Systems Technology and Head of Infrastructure at Dimension Data. His positions saw him manage revenue growth and maintain business uptime and customer service levels. He has also led long term business planning, including the development of a technology roadmap to support significant business growth at Dimension Data.
As General Manager of Hosting Operations, Mystakidis will report directly to Aidan Tudehope, Managing Director, Hosting.
