May 27, 2008
May 27, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Macquarie Telecom, whose services include voice, data, mobile and web hosting services, has extended its ADSL 2+ Network across Australia, it was reported today. The network now covers 250 exchanges across the continent and includes more than 100 Western Australian and Queensland based ADSL 2+ exchanges.

“Traditional carriers, encumbered by their legacy infrastructure, have been slow to deliver to Western Australia and Queensland,” explained Macquarie Telecom’s Group Executive, Marketing, Product Development and Alliances, Chris Greig. “Our customers told us they needed faster speeds and greater bandwidth in more locations and we listened and acted quickly.”

Macquarie’s ADSL 2+ network “now provides coverage across all major Australian business centers, delivering increased speed, bandwidth and scalability”.

“The expansion of our ADSL 2+ network is another example of Macquarie Telecom’s leadership in the supply of innovative convergence communications services for Business and Government in Australia,” added Mr. Greig.

The organization also provides a range of management tools designed to help maximize customers’ telecommunication services. Its business and government customers can manage the performance of the ADSL 2+ network via Macquarie Telecom’s Web 2.0 telecommunications management dashboard, MacquarieView. This enables customers to “manage orders, bills, faults and alerts across all Macquarie Telecom voice, mobile, data network and hosted-managed services from any Internet enabled device”.

Macquarie Telecom is Australia’s leading business-only telecommunications company. Established in 1992, the organization operates in Asia through an office in Singapore. It caters for 23% of the top 10,000 businesses and Government organizations in Australia.
