Magiq Signs Deal with Cavium to Produce Quantum Encryption Networking Products
February 7, 2005 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Magiq Technologies announced today it has signed an agreement with Cavium Networks to produce theoretically unbreakable quantum encryption products for high speed networks. Other encryption systems can be broken by calculating possible permutations of the message whereas doing so to quantum encryption data will not give its contents.

Under the deal, Cavium will provide their NITROX security processor chips inside Magic’s servers and networking boards.

We are continually looking at opportunities to proliferate our high performing, scalable and flexible technology into cutting-edge applications such as quantum cryptography products,” said Rajiv Khemani, Cavium Networks’ vice president of marketing. “We are pleased that our partnership with MagiQ has enabled world-class encryption solutions based on quantum cryptography such as the MagiQ QPN.”

The technology will initially be aimed at governments and military consumers.
