Managed application and database services provider
Data Intensity LLC (Data Intensity) has been acquired by alternative investments firm EQT Partners (EQT). Data Intensity, which has headquarters in Bedford, Massachusetts, United States, specializes in the “deployment and management of enterprise applications and underlying database technologies for Oracle and Microsoft environments”. Established in 2000, the company offers application management and managed cloud services. Data Intensity will leverage EQT's industry presence and technical knowhow to “to fuel organic growth and capitalize on hybrid cloud managed services opportunity”.
EQT, which has a presence in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Oslo, London, Madrid, Munich, New York, Shanghai, Singapore, Stockholm, and Zurich, is a “leading private equity group” with over 35 billion euros in raised capital. EQT purchased Data Intensity from Madrid, Spain-based Audax Private Equity. The acquisition will result in a partnership that will “fuel the next stage of the company's growth”. The company plans to expand globally establish leadership in the hybrid cloud managed services market. Financial aspects of the deal have not been released.
