Managed application company TriCore Solutions (
TriCore) has bought database managed services company Database Specialists, Inc. (Database Specialists). TriCore, which has headquarters in Norwell, Massachusetts, United States, was established in 1999. The company bills itself as “application management experts” providing “a full suite of scalable and reliable managed application, cloud, infrastructure hosting, and consulting services to enterprise organizations”. Its acquisition of Database Specialists is intended to enhance its Oracle Database management support capabilities.
Database Specialists, which has headquarters in San Francisco, California, United States, was established around 19 years ago and specializes in Oracle database systems. The company offers “in-depth expertise, experience, exceptional teamwork” to the Oracle community. It also uses its own database optimization tools to underpin remote DBA Services. Database Specialists’ services extend to architecture, design, database tuning, performance management and technical support, and the company uses its own Database Rx technology to offer “bespoke database monitoring”.
“We couldn’t be happier to announce that Database Specialists has joined TriCore,” explained TriCore Solutions’ CEO, Mark Clayman. “Database management services are core to our strategic focus on application management, business intelligence and analytics solutions, and data warehouse environments. With the experts from Database Specialists and the ability to leverage the Database Rx platform, TriCore will be able to expand and enhance our services to existing and new enterprise customers. From a corporate focus perspective, Database Specialists’ revenue mix of over 90 percent recurring revenue is directly aligned with TriCore’s goal to advance the company as a managed service provider, focusing on the full application stack.”
