Rackspace has between them achieved more than 300 professional and associate Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications. Rackspace, which bills itself as the “#1 managed cloud company”, specializes in services that enable its customers to benefit from the cloud without the difficulties and related costs of managing it themselves. Alongside support for AWS, the company’s services extend to hybrid, cloud and email hosting alongside dedicated managed hosting, VPN's and managed cloud.
To achieve AWS certifications Rackspace staff have had to pass a range of exams that evaluate their “real world understanding of AWS”. Rackspace’s 300 certifications cover all aspects of AWS services (including DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator, and Developer and Solution Architect). 40% of the company’s AWS certificate holders are based in the Americas, while 35% are in Europe and 25% in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
With customers in 120 countries, Rackspace is noted for the ‘Fanatical Support’ its team of experts provide for technologies offered by key providers, including Microsoft and Google. Rackspace’s AWS Managed Service Provider and AWS DevOps Competency partner statuses have helped the company achieve its most recent milestone.
"Our customers come to Rackspace for Fanatical Support and our standard is to serve those customers with 100 percent AWS certified technologists," explained Rackspace’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of AWS, Chris Cochran. "To meet customer demand, we have more than doubled the number of Rackspace AWS certifications since the launch of our offering in late 2015."
