Rackspace has been recognized in a recent Forrester Research (Forrester) Report. Established in 1998, Rackspace has headquarters in Windcrest, Texas, United States. The company offers a range of managed cloud solutions, leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, Microsoft, OpenStack and VMware to enable companies to “tap the power of cloud computing without the complexity and cost of managing it all on their own”.
Forrester’s report recognized Rackspace as a leader in independent evaluation for hosted private cloud services.
Forrester, which has headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States, was established in 1983. The company is “one of the most influential research and advisory firms in the world”, using proprietary research approaches to create annual surveys that provide a range of business and IT insights. Forrester awarded Rackspace the highest score available for “strategy and automation capabilities for its OpenStack Private Cloud Offering”.
Forrester’s report considered nine vendors which were considered against 33 criteria including “current offering, strategy and market presence”. The company was also one the leading vendors for “self-service portal and user interface, integration strength, service level agreements (SLAs), storage and contract agreements”.
