Managed Cloud Company Rackspace Works with Cloud Partners to Ease Move to the Cloud
Managed cloud company Rackspace is working with its cloud partners to help enterprises wishing to move to the cloud do so more effectively. Rackspace, which has head offices in San Antonio, Texas, United States, was established in 1998. The company specializes in managed services that enable companies to “tap the power of cloud computing without the challenge and expense of managing complex IT infrastructure and application platforms on their own”. Its expertise covers AWS, Microsoft, OpenStack, and VMware, and services are underpinned by its “Fanatical Support”. Its collaboration with partners means it can now offer an end-to-end solution for cloud transformation.

While most companies would like to benefit from the cloud, many see transition issues as overly complex. Together with Cloud Technology Partners (CTP) Rackspace will address a number of key issues that serve as obstacles to cloud transition. Rackspace will consider its customers’ cloud strategies and address issues such as security and governance. It will also assess a company’s application portfolio with a view to “modernization, migration and development”.

"We are seeing increasing demand from enterprises that are seeking help moving to AWS and Azure, and then successfully managing their environments once deployed," explained Rackspace’s Chief Executive Officer, Taylor Rhodes. "CTP is a recognized leader in helping enterprises move to the cloud and is a natural complement to our managed services expertise. Together, we provide the market leading solution that helps enterprises accelerate their realization of cloud benefits."
