Managed Cloud Hosting Services Provider HostDime Announces Opening of New Data Center in Brazil
Managed cloud hosting services provider HostDime has announced the opening of a new data center in Brazil. Established in 2001, HostDime is a global data center provider offering a range of managed cloud hosting services that include managed dedicated servers, colocation, and managed cloud Virtual Private Servers (VPS). Catering to around 50,000 clients globally, the company also has a presence in Mexico, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, India and Hong Kong alongside its presence in the United States. HostDime’s new Tier III data center is located in João Pessoa, Brazil.

The new data center is valued at 50 million Brazilian Real ($15 million). It is HostDime’s third in the country and its second in the same region. The new center is designed to “host critical systems and serve corporate applications such as ERPs” and streamed content. With the new center, HostDime can offer a dual-fiber optic ring through its partnership with ‘Tely’, a local telecommunications provider.

“Our data center has been certified, as well as the optic fiber network that interconnects the Northeast states,” explained Filipe Mendes, the CEO of HostDime Brazil. “This allows us to answer all the IT infrastructure needs of businesses that are looking for quality and security in data hosting and connectivity. Forty percent of the capacity of this new data center has already been allocated and the forecast is to reach maximum occupancy in mid 2018.”
