Managed cloud services company Cloudwith.me has announced the launch of a new cryptocurrency. With head offices in Dublin, Ireland, Cloudwith.me specializes in lessening the complexity of hosting a website in the cloud, reducing the process to “just a few clicks”. Using the company’s services users can move websites to Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure “in a matter of three clicks and 10 minutes”. Its new Cryptocurrency is called ’CLOUD’.
Cloudwith.me’s blockchain technology lowers barriers to accessing professional cloud services. This is of particular benefit in countries where credit cards are not freely available. Cloudwith.me’s CLOUD tokens can be used to acquire AWS services at “$1 per month” rather than buying services directly from AWS at around 40 times the price. CLOUD’s 'Initial Coin Offering (ICO)' – which will raise funds for the new cryptocurrency – makes it the first digital currency that can be used to buy existing digital services.
