The company, which was established in 1998, has headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States and a presence in a number of countries, including data centers in the United States, Brazil, Iceland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Hong Kong, China and Singapore. It is recognized as a leader in public, private and hybrid cloud solutions that leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure environments and are "integrated with traditional IT environments". The company's recognition in Gartner's listing recognizes its market position.

Datapipe has been positioned in the "Leaders Quadrant" of the listing for the second year running.
