Managed Hosting Provider Fpweb.net Now USAC Service Provider

January 23, 2009
January 23, 2009 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Managed hosting provider Fpweb.net has become a “qualified telecommunications provider for the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), it was reported recently. The qualification now allows the company to “offer managed hosting services to participants of the Universal Service Fund (USF) programs”.

There are four USF programs - High Cost, Low Income, Rural Health Care, and Schools and Libraries (E-Rate). Organizations that participate in the programs are now able to get managed hosting services at a reduced rate. Fpweb.net has been assigned a Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) number that allows the USAC to “assist qualified applicants in the funding needed for Fpweb.net managed hosting services”.

“Many organizations cannot afford the I.T. services necessary for daily operation,” explained Fpweb.net’s CEO, Rob LaMear IV. “With the help of the USAC, we are excited to provide these companies with affordable Software-as-a-Service solutions.”

Established in 1996, Fpweb.net is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner that offers a range of managed SharePoint, Exchange, CRM and Project Server hosting service. The company has “more than 1 million SharePoint users around the world” and its customers include the NY Yankees, U.S. Air Force, IBM and DOW Chemical.
