Melbourne Server Hosting is to offer a number of 'teach-ins' at
TechHub in Manchester, United Kingdom.
Founded in 2000, Melbourne Server Hosting is part of the iomart Group plc, a British cloud company which owns 10 data centers across the United Kingdom. The company offers managed hosting alongside cloud and dedicated hosting solutions that cater to a broad domestic and international customer base. It is one of only a few hosts in the north west of England that maintains its own network.
Melbourne Hosting has formed an official partnership with TechHub and will send developers, network engineers, ecommerce specialists and business advisers to offer advice to startups between November 5, 2013 and November 5, 2013, and again from December 3, 2013 to December 6, 2013. Teach-ins will also take place from January 7, 2013 to January 10, 2013 and February 4, 2013 to February 7, 2013. The events will take place at TechHub's offices in Carver's Warehouse, Dale Street, Manchester, United Kingdom.
Around 50 organizations are based at TechHub Manchester including a number of startup organizations. Melbourne Hosting has provided support from TechHub since its inception. “We want to give TechHub members a direct line to our technical and business expertise," explained Melbourne Hosting's Technical Services Manager, Rob Greenwood. "We’ll be hosting sessions that focus on Linux and Windows operating systems, on network engineering, and on issues such as the best way to host an ecommerce website. The advice will be free and given on-site so members have plenty of time with us.”
