Venyu has started construction of its new Jackson, Mississippi data center. The company, which has facilities in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Marlborough, Massachusetts, and Bossier City, Louisiana, USA, offers a range of cloud, data center, and data protection services. Its new Mississippi facility will total 67,000 square feet and cost the company in the region of $35 million. It will be the company’s fourth center.
Venyu’s new data center will have office space for 6-8 employees and offer cloud hosting, and cloud backup and disaster recovery services alongside colocation offerings. It is to be “reinforced and built to the same high availability and redundant specifications as its Baton Rouge BTR2 facility” that launched last year. It will also offer a wide range of features including a second floor level for cooling (HVAC units) which it describes as “innovative”. The company will also rent space as the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) to provide headquarters for its Center for Telehealth.
