Liquid Web has launched a new managed WooCommerce hosting plan. Liquid Web, which has headquarters in Lansing, Michigan, United States, was established in 1997. The company prides itself on delivering “reliable, highly-available, secure, and hassle-free hosting” underpinned by its ‘Heroic Support’. With more than 30,000 customers the company owns and operates two data centers, both in the Michigan area. Alongside managed hosting options its services extend to more traditional web hosting alongside cloud hosting and WordPress packages. Its latest offering underscores the importance of WooCommerce.
WooCommerce, which has headquarters in San Francisco, California, United States, is the company behind the leading ecommerce plugin for WordPress. WordPress is the most popular Content Management System (CMS) on the Internet, supporting more than 25% of all websites. Like WordPress, WooCommerce is an Open Source solution and is therefore available as a cost-free download. As a result, as with WordPress, WooCommerce is popular with companies of all sizes. The solution represents the “most customizable ecommerce platform” for building an online business.
According to the company WooCommerce “powers over 28% of all online stores”. It offers numerous extensions that change the functionality of any WordPress site to meet developers’ exact requirements.
