April 2, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Managed IT and VoIP services provider mindSHIFT has acquired Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions provider Collaboration Online, it was announced yesterday. Collaboration Online sells hosted Microsoft Exchange Server, Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Dynamics CRM under a number of brands, including groupSPARK and AgileWave CRM.
“Collaboration Online dramatically expands our market reach,” explained Paul Chisholm, Chairman and CEO of mindSHIFT. “We are now able to provide small and mid-size businesses with additional enterprise-class messaging and collaboration tools which will assist them in increasing growth and corporate productivity. It also enables us to expand our geographic reach considerably.”

Established in 2002, Collaboration Online markets hosted SaaS offerings as a private label service through its reseller channel alongside its Microsoft Exchange Server, Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Dynamics CRM offerings. The acquisition provides mindSHIFT with “high growth opportunity” in the SMB market, an automated and scalable provisioning, a support platform that “lowers the costs of customer acquisition and support”, and a “successful and mature” reseller program.
