Managed Services and Infrastructure Provider Datapipe Ranks 6th Place on the MSPmentor Global Managed Service Provider List
Managed services and infrastructure provider Datapipe, whose services include infrastructure as a service, cloud computing, colocation, data centers, and platform as a service, ranks 6th place on the sixth-annual MSPmentor Global Managed Service Provider List. On being given 6th place in the list, the Jersey City, New Jersey-headquartered company was given recognition for its Stratosphere® cloud computing platform.

Managed by Nine Lives Media, the MSPmentor Global Managed Service Provider List (also known as MSPmentor 501 Global Edition) ranks the top 501 Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in the world. Nine Lives Media suggests that the 501 companies on their list saw a 24.5% increase in annual recurring revenue in 2012 and combined now generate $2.54 billion. In addition, they manage "5.6 million PCs and servers, and nearly 400,000 smartphones and tablets".

The ranking is based on data produced for the company by an online survey which took place between October and December 2012. Nine Lives Media uses a number of metrics to establish its ranking, including annual revenue growth through managed services, revenue earned per employee, the breadth of managed services offered, and the customer devices a company manages.

“Datapipe is focused on managing mission critical IT with a consistent service level across the globe,” explained the CEO of Datapipe, Robb Allen. “In addition to managed security, compliance and database services, our clients have embraced the Stratosphere® cloud platform as an integral part of their hybrid infrastructure requirements. We are pleased to be named sixth on the MSPmentor 501 Global Edition.”
