April 12, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Managed services provider Attenda is to host Smythson’s new SAP system, it was announced this week. The company, which bills itself as the “Always On Managed Services Company”, has signed a five year contract with Smythson to host and manage its entire SAP infrastructure.
Smythson is leather goods manufacturer that specializes in travel and writing accessories and bespoke stationery. The company was established in 1887 and is internationally renowned. The company is recognized for having three warrants to serve the British royal family. The company also serves European royal families and a range of international celebrities.
Attenda will provide “a fully managed service for the new SAP infrastructure in the initial phase of a major project to review and replace the current IT systems and business processes at Smythson”. This will include “operational responsibility and management of the SAP system up to and including the SAP Basis layer, in a secure and robust environment”.
