Mark Thiele Joins Cloud Platform Provider Apcera
Mark Thiele has joined cloud platform provider Apcera. Apcera, which has headquarters in San Francisco, California, United States, was established in 2012. The company specializes in providing a “highly secure, policy-driven hybrid-cloud platform” that can be used by “cloud-native applications, containers, microservices and legacy applications”. The company caters to around 2000 customers worldwide and its services enable its users to reduce costs by deploying workloads across a range of cloud and infrastructure providers. Mr. Thiele joins the company as Chief Strategy Officer.

Mr. Thiele is an industry veteran with some 25 years’ experience of promoting cloud adoption in businesses. His expertise in the area of policy-driven cloud computing will prove an enormous benefit to Apcera. He joins the company from Switch SUPERNAP where he was Executive Vice President of Ecosystem Development. Previous roles included executive positions at HP, Gilead, VMware and Brocade. In his latest role he will oversee activity related to cross-functional strategic initiatives and he help establish the company’s future direction. He will also be in charge of the company’s cloud computing ecosystem partnerships.
