Marlin Equity Partners Acquires Cloud Contact Center and Customer Service Solutions Provider LiveOps’ Cloud Platform Business
Marlin Equity Partners (Marlin Equity) has acquired the cloud platform business of cloud contact center and customer service solutions provider LiveOps. Marlin Equity, which has headquarters in Hermosa Beach, California, United States (alongside an office in London), is an investment company which specializes in “providing corporate parents, shareholders and other stakeholders with tailored solutions that meet their business and liquidity needs”. The company manages around $3 billion of capital, investing in businesses in a range of industries. Presidio Partners, a venture capital company in Sydney New South Wales, Australia, also participated in the deal.

LiveOps formed of two separate companies in January 2014, with LiveOps Cloud Platform, LLC focusing on “growth in cloud contact center software and on-demand agent services”. LiveOps Cloud Platform is a “pure cloud” solutions which has experienced 84% growth over the previous two years. The solution enables companies to deploy “scalable, true multi-tenant contact center solution for unmatched quality of service, flexibility and business results”.

Marlin Equity’s acquisition had a firm focus on LiveOps’ SaaS activity. The new SaaS-based company formed as a result of the acquisition will be led by LiveOps current CEO, Vasili Triant. It will be an independent and will further develop LiveOps’ cloud contact center platform. LiveOps Agent Services has not been acquired as part of the deal and will remain a separate entity.

We believe that this acquisition positions both LiveOps businesses to refine and focus on their individual strategic objectives to accelerate growth.”
