Mike Cox has been announced as the new CEO at global enterprise data center solutions provider
OnX Enterprise Solutions. Mr. Cox joined the company in February of this year when he took on the role of President of the U.S. and was in charge of OnX's domestic operations and US expansion. Mr. Cox replaces Ed Vos who left OnX earlier this month.
OnX Enterprise Solutions designs, builds and manages data centers and has been in operation for around 30 years. The company's headquarters are in Toronto, Canada and its US headquarters are in New York. The company has a presence throughout North America and also in Europe.
As CEO of the company, Mr. Cox's brief will be to expand global operations and increase sales in North America and the United Kingdom. He will also be responsible for establishing initiatives that leverage OnX's managed services offerings and solutions. His responsibilities will also including expanding current partnerships with companies like Cisco, EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, and HP, and establishing other partnerships.
Mr. Cox brings significant experience and expertise to his position. He has a Bachelor's degree in Science and Humanities from Iowa State University and was previously President and CEO of Logicalis, Inc. At Logicalis he helped the company's US revenue grow from $170 million to $600 million. He took the role of Director at the Logicalis Group during which time he was named IT Executive of the Year by CMP Media's CRN Magazine. His previous roles also included President of Arrow Telecommunications and Collaboration Division and he worked for Hewlett-Packard in a number of roles, including Vice President and General Manager of North American Sales for the company's Business Customer Organization. Prior to engagement at HP he worked for Apollo Computer and at Digital Equipment Corporation.
