MongoDB Company 10gen Announces Launch of Partner Program
10gen has announced the launch of a new partner program. The New York-based company suggests its new program is a response to increased demand for its open-source MongoDB document database solution and offers potential for companies that develop and market MongoDB-based solutions, as well as companies that provide software, hardware, and cloud services solutions.

The program offers channel partners access to 10gen Education intellectual property and technical, sales and marketing resources. It also offers access to the NoSQL Validation Program for MongoDB - a range of technologies supporting APIs that comply with development guidelines for MongoDB integration. As partners companies are officially part of the MongoDB ecosystem and there are three levels of involvement - Members, Authorized Partners and Strategic Partners. Partners are also eligible for involvement in a "Partner Spotlight" which highlights MongoDB-based offerings from vendors involved in the program.

"MongoDB is one of the most popular new technologies, and the energy from startups and major vendors alike for building around MongoDB is high," explained 10gen's Vice President of Business Development, Ed Albanese. "The 10gen Partner Program is designed for companies looking to efficiently build new business or revenue streams based on MongoDB and capitalize on big data, cloud, mobile and other computing trends and opportunities related to our document-oriented database."
