MYOB Offers Domains and Web Hosting

May 12, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – MYOB (http://myob.com/), an Australian accounting software and services provider serving around 700,000 businesses and 10,000 accounting practices worldwide, has entered the domain name registration and web hosting arenas, it was reported recently. The company is offering a range of web offerings which focus on the SME sector (http://hosting.myob.com.au/). The move leads the way for the company to provide integration of their accounting offerings through their customers’ websites.

“Our customers are just starting to embrace the Web and are looking for a trusted provider to help them establish a professional online presence and then, in time, to integrate existing business processes, such as invoicing, into their website,” explained Mr. Tim Reed, MYOB’s Managing Director. “Big corporations are spending tens of millions of dollars on building an online interface to their business. Customers are going to expect this capability of every business – big and small.”

MYOB Business Web Hosting will offer email hosting alongside domain registration and web hosting. According to the company, its move online is a “natural evolution” of its business, and will ultimately “give micro, small and medium sized businesses the opportunity to engage in commerce and client service over the web”.
