Managed Hosting Solutions and Colocation Provider Navisite Acquires Alabanza Web Hosting Operations and Jupiter Hosting
| August 14, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Managed hosting solutions and colocation provider Navisite (http://www.navisite.com) has acquired Alabanza’s (http://www.alabanza.com) web hosting operation and Jupiter Hosting, it was reported yesterday. The deals were reported as being worth $15.5 million. Alabanza provides dedicated and shared web hosting services and offers a proprietary software solution for managing high volume hosting solutions. Jupiter Hosting offers dedicated and managed hosting alongside IPTV, video on demand and video delivery. "Alabanza and Jupiter fit neatly into our managed hosting offerings and were acquired at less than four times expected synergistic EBITDA," said Arthur Becker, Chief Executive Officer of NaviSite. "These transactions add new customers with average revenue per square foot densities of approximately $4,700 per year and create significant opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell our entire suite of managed services." Alabanza is based in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The company caters for around 165,000 websites in more than 25 countries. Jupiter Hosting is based in Santa Clara, California, USA. |
