April 26, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Network Solutions took a child to work, it was reported yesterday. The web hosts’ annual “Take a Child to Work Day” gave children of employees a chance to participate in an “interactive day with a full schedule of learning based programs”.
The event was open to children between the ages of 8 to 14. Throughout the day, there were seven different sessions lasting 45 minutes each, giving children an opportunity to better understand key functions of their parent’s company. The session topics ranged from creating a web page and talking through the interviewing process with the human resource department to learning how to generate revenue from the sales team. Other sessions will describe Network Solutions and the ebusiness industry.
“Learning more about the workplace can be a valuable experience at any age,“ explained Network Solutions’ SVP of Corporate Communications, Michele Krisanda. “We set out to create a fun agenda for our employees’ children and give them an opportunity to learn about Network Solutions and about their parent’s occupation.”
