June 1, 2009 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – The german webhosting company Hetzner Online now presents their new generation of dedicated root servers and sets new standards in webhosting with it. The three high-capacity servers EQ 4, EQ 6 and EQ 9 have been equipped with more RAM and larger hard disks. The price remains affordable as ever.
All three models make use of the new Intel Quad-Core i7 Processor. Intel’s integrated hyper-threading technology enables increased efficiency through an increased number of threads working in parallel.
Ensuring that there are sufficient memory resources, the smallest model EQ 4 has 8 GB DDR3 RAM, while the EQ 6 and EQ 9 models have 12 GB DDR3. For hard disks there are up to three 1500 GB SATA-II HDDs installed, which operate in software RAID.
The options for operating systems are Debian 5.0, openSuSE 11.1, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, Ubuntu 9.04 and CentOS 5.3.
Unlimited traffic usage also ensures more cost transparency. Comprehensive features, for example the rescue system to eliminate software problems, the 24 hour reset service and server monitoring or 100 GB backup space round off the offer.
The price is also persuasive: The dedicated root server EQ 4 is already available for 49 Euro per month. The premium servers EQ 6 and EQ 9 can be leased for 69 Euro and 99 Euro per month respectively. Other than that there is only a once-off setup fee of 149 Euro. The contract terms are also client friendly, so all three models are offered without long minimum contract periods.
