Open Source Middleware Platform Provider WSO2 Announces Launch New Public Cloud Offerings
Open Source middleware platform provider WSO2 has announced the launch of new public cloud offerings. WSO2, which has headquarters in Mountain View, California, United States, offers the only “Open Source Platform-as-a-Service for private and public clouds available today”. The platform offers a “revolutionary componentized design” that adapts to enterprise application projects. The new offerings target companies “engaging in digital transformation” and include WSO2 Integration Cloud, WSO2 Identity Cloud, and WSO2 Device Cloud.

WSO2 Integration Cloud offers WSO2 Integration Platform functionality that can manage “up to billions of transactions per day at customer sites”. It supports all integration patterns to facilitate interoperability across a wide range of systems and applications. It also complies with leading integration standards, both open and proprietary. This allows users to “connect customers, partners and employees across a range of apps running on enterprise systems, the cloud, web, mobile devices, and the Internet of Things (IoT).”

WSO2 Identity Cloud leverages WSO2 Identity Server Identity and Access Management (IAM) software functionality to enable enterprise architects and developers to enhance user experience by “reducing identity provisioning time” and “guaranteeing secure online interactions”. It provides configuration support for SSO and popular Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. WSO2 Device Cloud uses WSO2 IoT Server functionality and provides features that enable users to build an enterprise-grade solution “based on IoT, mobile or both”. This reduces time to market and allows companies to focus on core competencies.

“We’ve placed a priority on democratizing access to our enterprise-class software by making it available as public cloud solutions that organizations of any size can readily use,” explained WSO2’s Vice President of Cloud, Dmitry Sotnikov. “Already our WSO2 API Cloud has seen tremendous success with many government and commercial customers around the globe that have made it their platform of choice for hosting their API programs. Now we are extending our commitment with the introduction of WSO2 Integration Cloud, WSO2 Identity Cloud, and WSO2 Device Cloud. Together, these cloud solutions will empower enterprises with the agility to support their digital business initiatives and rapidly adapt to evolving market conditions.”
