September 18, 2007 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – OVH (http://www.ovh.com), a French Internet-hosting network, has selected a Digital Optical Network from Infinera for network linking its data centers in Paris and Roubaix, it was reported recently. The move comes in a bid to provide OVH customers with “scalable and reliable optical capacity”.

According to the company, OVH chose Infinera for the innovative technology in its platform, including large-scale photonic integrated circuits. "We are pleased to bring the benefits of Digital Optical Networking to the French market," explained Jagdeep Singh, Infinera’s CEO. "OVH is a leader and innovator in delivering innovative web services to French enterprises and consumers, and the Infinera solution is a great fit for Internet content companies, who are dealing with dramatic and unpredictable growth in network traffic. The Infinera solution is designed to offer the flexibility and intelligence to manage that growth quickly and effectively."
