PaaS Company Jelastic Announces German Host QuariNET as Official Hosting Partner
August 7, 2017
Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) company Jelastic has announced that German host QuariNET is now its ‘official hosting partner’. With headquarters in Palo Alto, California, United States, Jelastic offers a cloud platform for developers and hosting companies which can be deployed on bare metal or Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments. By partnering with QuariNET Jelastic will ease the growth of its European footprint.
QuariNET has been the hosting arm of QuarIT GmbH since 2015. With headquarters in Trostberg, Germany, the company offers a wide range of web hosting and cloud services. These include shared hosting, email hosting and archiving alongside hosted exchange and domain registration. As its servers are located in Germany, QuariNET can cater for companies that need to address Germany’s data sovereignty requirements. As Germany is in the European Union (EU) its customers can also meet the EU’s data security requirements.
QuariNET’s new ‘QuariNET Application Platform’ is powered by Jelastic and designed to further the company’s expansion plans. The platform supports “Java, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, Python and .NET projects in all relevant versions”, and using custom Virtual Private Servers (VPS) with root access or custom Docker containers, it can also manage “rare software stacks” that are not generally available.
“The most important criteria during the search for the technical platform of QuariNET's new PaaS offering were the ability to give developers what they need with minimal work on their side, a strong security concept and outstanding support from the platform vendor to ensure high availability and good responses in case issues arise,” explained Andreas Grabmüller, the CEO of QuariNET. “The proven Jelastic platform fit those criteria in ways none of the other evaluated solutions could even get near to.”
