Pan-African web host Web4Africa Ltd. (
Web4Africa) is now offering services in Nigeria. Web4Africa, which has headquarters in Gauteng, South Africa, was established in 2002. The company offers a wide range of web hosting services that include shared web hosting, reseller hosting, Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting, cloud hosting and dedicated server options. Web4Africa is also an ICANN accredited domain registrar and offers domain name registration alongside web design options. It is the first web host to offer services in Nigeria.
Web4Africa will offer services through its West African network Point-of-Presence and a Tier-III data center in Lagos, Nigeria. The company is “peering openly” at the Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN). Its services are underpinned by “100Mbps connectivity to all the leading operators”. Alongside boasting excellent physical security, its Nigerian facility has access to “clean, 100% stable and redundant power supply”. The company is targeting its services at developers, SMEs, NGOs, government departments and corporate entities.
“We are in Africa and Africa is in us,” explained Web4Africa’s Managing Director, Oluniyi Ajao. “We are committed to bringing world-class web hosting to Africa and Africans, meeting the needs of businesses and other entities. Our extension to Lagos Nigeria is one of the first steps towards this goal.”
