March 23, 2012 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Peak 10 Inc., the only data center solutions company with rock solid people, rock solid solutions and rock solid results, announced the opening of its third enterprise-class facility contiguous with current operations in Nashville, Tenn. The 41,000 square-foot addition brings Peak 10 Nashville’s total campus footprint to 71,500 square feet. Peak 10 operates nine other technology campuses in the U.S., serving customers around the globe.

“The significance of securely maintaining mission-critical data and applications continues to resonate with a growing number of companies in our region. Our team is seeing a growing demand for our tailored IT solutions from all industries, particularly healthcare,” said Drew Fassett, the vice president and general manager of Peak 10 Nashville. “The construction of our third local facility, which has more than 15,000 square feet of premium raised floor space, is our commitment to the business community that we will solve and accommodate their IT needs and requirements, so they can focus on their core competencies for business growth.”

In addition to the raised floor space, Peak 10 has added 26,000 square feet of customer workspace to the Nashville campus as part of its Workspace Recovery service. This service enables both start-up and established companies to use the space as a temporary office or to quickly recover from a disaster to help minimize the impact on business operations. Peak 10 customers have already taken advantage of the new space and are leveraging it to enhance their business activities.

“Over the last 12 months, we completed new data center facility expansions in Louisville, Ky. and Richmond, Va. to meet our new and existing customer growth,” said David Jones, the president and CEO of Peak 10. “This year, we will continue to invest significant capital into our existing markets adding more premium data center space, bringing greater scale to our cloud platforms and solutions and in systems and processes to further enhance the way we provision our services and support for customers. These initiatives bring more efficiency to our operations as well as continue to optimize the return on capital investment at Peak 10.”

The third Nashville data center is engineered with five-point physical security and around-the-clock monitoring and management, uninterruptible power, HVAC systems and fire suppression. It is interconnected with Peak 10’s robust private network, providing customers with the advantage of highly available Internet access and the ability to leverage 19 data centers in nine other markets when implementing disaster recovery solutions.

To ensure the highest level of stability and facility integrity, the new Nashville site underwent a formal commissioning process prior to customer installations. Employing an industry-leading facilities engineering and IT consulting firm, Peak 10’s data center commissioning is a structured process which establishes the capability and reliability of mission-critical infrastructure. The process includes multiple and repeated test cycles using equipment that simulates how the data center operates at various load levels and failover conditions.
