January 7, 2008 – (HOSTSEARCH.COM) – Speculation persists regarding a potential buyer of the web hosting and business services divisions of British broadband Internet, ADSL broadband and hosting provider, Pipex (http://www.pipex.co.uk/). Although London-based financial services and investment specialists Oakley Capital have expressed interest, many analysts believe Scottish telecommunications company THUS is likely to purchase the divisions.
A number of reports have suggested that THUS has already submitted a bid with a view to completing the acquisition by March 2008. Alongside web hosting, THUS’ product suite includes managed solutions, voice services, mobile solutions, data services, Internet access and remote working solutions.
Pipex caters to the public sector and retail, commercial, financial, and IT and media segments. The company’s products include IP networking, managed services and applications, web hosting, and security and voice solutions. |
