Blubrry is offering its podcast hosting customers WordPress sites through its ‘PowerPress Sites’ service. Blubrry, which was established eleven years ago, has headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The company caters for 30,000 audio and video content creators, offering advertising opportunities, media distribution, hosting services, and podcast media statistics, amongst other services. The offer of a free WordPress site for podcast hosting customers represents a “first in the podcast industry”.
Blubrry has released the first ‘Basic’ level of its service with Deluxe, Professional and Enterprise levels in the pipeline. A Basic PowerPress Site is available free of charge and is underpinned by a managed WordPress option. Blubrry’s customers can establish sites “using a simple three-step quick-start setup guide”. The service includes site caching for speedier page loading, templates to give sites a unique look and feel, and Google Analytics, which allows users to track the number of visitors to their sites.
