Founded by 18 year old Calvin Brown, Jr. the new host is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and will utilize a strategy of competitive plans and gearing web hosting solutions to individuals and small to large-sized businesses.
PWC Hosting’s stated aim is to provide customers with superior network connectivity and minimal downtime. To achieve this the company chose The Planet Data Center (www.theplanet.com/datacenter.html) to provide infrastructure. Located in Dallas, Texas, The Planet's Data Center is over 35,000 square feet and provides state-of-the-art security, safety, and cooling systems. The center includes 26-ton air a/c units, a pre-action dry pipe sprinkler system, over 500 smoke detectors in an integrated system, multiple TXU electrical grids, and a 1.5-megawatt generator and DataTrax monitoring software.
PWC Hosting also utilizes a fully meshed and redundant Certified Cisco Network featuring 10 backbone providers which include UUNet (GigE), Sprint (GigE), Level 3 (GigE), and AT&T (GigE).
