Cloud Direct has acquired computer support and services provider iHotdesk Limited (iHotdesk). Cloud Direct, which has headquarters in Bath, United Kingdom, was established in 2003. ISO 270001:2013 and ISO 27000 accredited, the company bills itself as helping “4,000 organizations move to the cloud - quickly, easily and securely”.
Cloud Direct offers a range of “ready-to-go, enterprise solutions” that address the needs of UK companies, especially in the area of “compliance, security and performance”. A Gold Microsoft Partner for Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions, with the acquisition its latest services include support for on-premises application servers. iHotdesk is Cloud Direct’s second acquisition in 2015 after its purchase of Datel Business Systems Ltd. (Datel) in June.
iHotdesk, which has headquarters in London, United Kingdom, provides IT support services to companies of a range of sizes that are located in London. Cloud Direct’s acquisition of the company underscores its expansion plans - the company doubled its size by purchasing iHotdesk and Datel. "We've been operating a pure cloud business since we set up in 2003,” suggested the company’s CEO Brett Raynes in a press release. “Over the years, we've developed our offering from solely cloud backup, to full cloud services right across the board. With iHotdesk, we're now adding traditional on-premises support to our portfolio."
"We're delighted to be working with Cloud Direct,” added iHotdesk’s Managing Director and Founder, Preet Chahal. “Our customers increasingly wanted to start moving their IT to the cloud safely and securely. With Cloud Direct, we can strengthen our existing cloud services, while still providing our traditional on-site and 24/7 end user helpdesk and server support."
