Web Hosting and Domain Registration Provider Register.com Announces Custom Web Design Service

The service, called “Build My Website-Custom,” is geared towards small businesses and aims to provide a service “without the excessive costs, limitations or technical requirements usually associated with creating and maintaining a website”.
Register.com’s web designers work directly with the company’s customers to build websites that meet customers’ needs for “brand building, marketing and direct revenue generation”. The website design process takes between 30 and 60 days and websites are developed for a single fee of $585 and a monthly maintenance fee of $99.

The website process begins with a 30-minute complimentary consultation. Customers are assigned a “Web Architect” who remains the “sole point of contact” throughout the site’s development. The customer provides photos and graphics (or selects them from a large library of stock photos and images) and works with the Web Architect to realize the required design. There are no restrictions on the number of conversations between the customer and the Web Architect.
As part of the service, Register.com helps their customers chose a domain name, set up email, and “optimize their site for indexing by search engines like Google and Yahoo!”. The monthly fee covers unlimited revisions alongside routine upgrades and maintenance to ensure that the site functions effectively. ecommerce options are available at a higher fee.
