Robert Busz has been announced Managing Director for Poland at cloud company Equinix.
Equinix, which has global headquarters in Redwood City, California, United States, offers a range of products and services which include cloud options, colocation, data security and data center services. The company entered the Polish market after of its recent acquisition of TelecityGroup, a European carrier-neutral data center and colocation services provider. TelecityGroup has two data centers located in the Polish capital Warsaw and the leading Polish Internet Exchange, the PLIX. Equinix has expanded its second facility in Warsaw and is currently expanding the PLIX.
As Managing Director for Poland, Mr. Busz will be responsible for overseeing and extending Equinix’s footprint in the country. A 20-year industry veteran, he gained most of his expertise in telecommunications and data management organizations where he was involved in management and business development. He has been involved in the telecommunications and network operations industries in Poland since the late 1990s. He joins Equinix from CEE, Russia where he held the role of Sales Director. He has also held roles at internet provider Level 3 Communications and Swedish telecommunications company Telia Company (formerly TeliaSonera International).
