Mr. Robert Hoffmann has been named CEO of British web hosting provider
1&1 Internet. He will be responsible for the "internationalization" of the company’s global web hosting activity and continued product innovation.
Mr. Hoffmann brings 20 years of IT business experience to his new position, five of which were spent at 1&1 Internet. He held the position of Global Chief Sales Officer at the company prior to his recent appointment.

"Our hosting solutions continue to lead the pack in many markets worldwide and deliver important impacts for business and professional users alike. I look forward to my part in building upon exciting innovations across our DIY, software-as-a-service and professional hosting segments in the coming years”.
Alongside Mr. Hoffmann's move, the company named Mr. Oliver Mauss as CEO of its Corporate Venture Unit with responsibility over corporate venture projects. Mr. Mauss previously headed 1&1’s hosting activity but will now oversee acquisitions designed to establish a separate international business line.
